Ian Hunt has been appointed to lead Trend’s Oil & Gas solutions business as the company launches into the Saudi Arabian market, supporting growth across its four key focus areas: Fire & Safety, Engineering, Capability Development, and Innovation.

With more than 30 years of international experience in the energy sector, Ian has held senior operational, commercial, and strategic leadership roles across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. His career includes executive positions with globally recognised organisations including Halliburton, Baker Hughes, 3t, and Tachyus — a Silicon Valley technology company specialising in advanced SaaS solutions for the energy industry.

Throughout his career, Ian has led large-scale regional business operations, developed high-performing international teams, and supported the delivery of complex operational and technology solutions across multiple sectors of the energy industry.

Ian joined Trend to strategically support the company’s long-term business development and market growth within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Having spent more than 20 years living and working in the Middle East, he brings deep regional knowledge, strong industry relationships, and extensive experience supporting commercial, industrial, and energy sector clients.

Ian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Southampton University in the United Kingdom, with specialisation in Nuclear Physics.

Edward Corry is a senior business development and operational leader with more than 19 years of experience across the Middle East, specialising in Facilities Management, Emergency Services, Fire & Rescue, HSSE, and critical infrastructure support.

Having spent the majority of his career within the GCC, Edward has developed extensive regional expertise supporting government entities, industrial operators, and major infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, and the wider Middle East.

Before joining Trend, Edward served as Business Development Lead for Serco’s Emergency Services Division in Saudi Arabia, where he supported the development and delivery of major facilities management and emergency services programmes across the Kingdom. Prior to this, he held senior business development leadership roles with Britam Arabia, successfully supporting significant regional growth and the expansion of long-term strategic client partnerships.

Edward’s career also includes operational and HSSE leadership roles supporting high-risk oil & gas operations, maritime developments, and critical infrastructure environments across the Middle East and East Africa.

His professional foundation was established through eight years of military service as a British Army Officer and Royal Marines Commando (RMR), leading multinational teams across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and South America.

Edward also completed advanced Arabic language training through the UK Defence School of Languages, enabling him to work effectively across Arabic-speaking markets and engage directly with regional stakeholders.

He holds a BA Degree in Languages for Business (French) from Oxford Brookes University, together with advanced HSSE qualifications and specialist military leadership training from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the Royal Marines Commando Course.
